Commentary
In April 2026 I transitioned from written journalism to become a full-time International Horse Racing Commentator, bringing top-class action from across the world to an English-speaking audience. My commentary can be heard on live broadcasts from Chile, Uruguay, Brazil and Turkey, delivering coverage.
My journey into live broadcasting began covering football matches for Newport County AFC's radio service. While my career has evolved significantly since those early broadcasts in the cold at Rodney Parade, my mindset is unchanged: sport is about moments and it is the commentator’s job to deliver them.
Every race, match or event has a story and for those watching or listening, you are a part of their own match or race experience. Sport matters to people, enriches their lives and provides escapism, and I strive to deliver the best coverage with energy, expertise, clarity and accuracy. Above all, it’s about making every second count.
Broadcasting and Hosting
It is fantastic to be back hosting the newly launched RaceWatchers Podcast. The show blends in-depth racing analysis, powered by RaceWatch’s outstanding data, with engaging conversations, expert guests and plenty of entertainment along the way.
Previously, I spent 18 months as host of the Racing Postcast, the Racing Post’s flagship weekly preview show. During my time in the role, I helped shape the programme’s development, bringing my own expertise, personality and tipping expertise to one of racing’s most listened-to podcasts.
Away from the studio, I regularly host race days, preview evenings and racing events, particularly across Gloucestershire with the Cheltenham & Three Counties Race Club. These vary from preview shows to interviewing guests and bringing out of the best in them to keep an audience entertained.
As a Cheltenham-based and a tipping competition winner during the Jumps season, I am particularly in demand in the build up to the Cheltenham Festival.
